All about me!

Hi class, my name is Jacob Michele but I go by Michele :). I am 23 years old and a first year teacher teaching 1st grade! I went to George Washington University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 2024 in International Affairs and Geography. I moved to Providence in June and could not be more happy to get out of DC when I did. I am planning on getting my Master's from RIC in Education and hope to eventually work in a international education policy field.

Outside of work, I love to have fun! I enjoy going out with my friends on the weekends, playing board games, doing karaoke, and watching theatre and music performances. I used to be involved a lot in theatre but this year I have been very focused on my  job and studies. Recently, I have been experimenting with fashion and makeup and trying to be more of my authentic self. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past year. I look forward to connecting with you all!

  1. Hi Michele, it’s nice to meet you! Congratulations on your first year teaching 1st grade, that’s such an exciting and demanding place to start. Your background in international affairs and geography brings a really interesting perspective to elementary education, and it’s great to hear that you’re planning to continue your studies at RIC with an eye toward international education policy.

It sounds like you’ve found a great balance between work and staying connected to things you love, from theatre and music to karaoke and board games. I also really appreciate how openly you shared your journey toward being more authentic through fashion and makeup. That kind of self-reflection and growth is inspiring. I’m looking forward to learning alongside you and connecting more this semester.
